Vision Community Health Liaison Supervisor ($32/hr)

Job Overview:

Cure Staffing, Inc. is working with one of the City’s largest Health Agencies. We are seeking qualified temporary medical support staff candidates who will provide reliable, professional, and appropriately skilled medical support in all temporary work assignments. All candidates must have education, experience, licenses, and certifications that are applicable and appropriate to the level of this position.

The OSH Vision Program provides vision screening to Pre-K, kindergarten and first grade students in public and non-public schools across NYC. They will continue to provide vision screenings and eye exams to all kindergartners and first graders in September 2022.

Job Responsibilities:

  • Manage daily activities of the vision screening team
  • Schedule and prepare schools for screening with school administrators
  • Ensures adequate screening space for team activity
  • Monthly schedules are prepared in advance and posted on the
  • Share Drive and given to their respective supervisor
  • Ensures screening equipment is properly set up as per vision protocols
  • Ensures laptop is functioning properly and data is entered timely on a daily basis
  • Quality Assurance – rescreens children who pass and fail; checks vision referrals for accuracy and completeness before being sent home to parents
  • Ensures screening team assignments are completed timely
  • Monitors dress code regulations and time and attendance daily
  • Responsible for completing screening team statistical batch form for every school and monthly statistical reports

Preferred Skills/ Experience:

  • Experience supervising and leading a team
  • Experience working with children
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced, time-sensitive work environment
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities
  • Proven ability to collect and manage data
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Solution oriented with strong problem solving skills.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook)
  • Comfortable working independently with minimal supervision
  • Knowledge of the NYC school system
  • Experience working with school-aged children in a school setting
  • Supervisory experience in a field based program, managing field based staff

Hours:

Monday-Friday 8:00am-4:00pm

Multiple work sites, must be flexible to travel
