Job Description

Cure Staffing is seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Sterile Supply Technician to join a Central Sterile Processing team. In this critical role, you will support safe and effective surgical and clinical care by ensuring that all instruments and medical equipment are properly cleaned, assembled, sterilized, and distributed. You will be working within a high-acuity, fast-paced environment.

Contract Details

• • • Location: Syracuse, NY 13210
    • Start Date: July 21
    • End Date: October 19
    • Shift: 7:00 AM – 3:30 PM, one day per week
    • Pay: $1,200.00 paid weekly via direct deposit (MI&L included)

Qualifications

• • • Successful completion of a nationally accredited Central Service Technician exam and current certification as a Central Sterile Technician (CRCST preferred)
      • OR documented employment as a Central Service Technician in a healthcare facility for at least one year prior to January 1, 2015 (per NYS law)
    • Must pass pre-employment health clearance

Skills and Requirements

• • • Strong knowledge of sterilization methods, infection control practices, and aseptic technique
    • Ability to operate and monitor sterilization equipment (e.g., steam autoclaves, Steris, Sterrad systems)
    • Excellent attention to detail and accuracy in assembling surgical sets
    • Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced, high-pressure environment
    • Strong communication and teamwork skills

Duties and Responsibilities

• • • Perform decontamination, disinfection, washing, assembly, and sterilization of surgical instruments and trays
    • Operate and monitor sterilization equipment
    • Assemble both complex and basic surgical sets, ensuring accuracy and completeness
    • Adhere strictly to aseptic techniques and infection control protocols
    • Conduct quality checks to ensure all instruments are functional and sterile
    • Maintain detailed records of sterilization and decontamination cycles
    • Respond promptly to urgent or emergent requests for instruments and supplies from OR and clinical staff
    • Collaborate with perioperative teams to ensure timely and efficient equipment turnover
    • Uphold departmental safety and compliance standards at all times
