Job Description

Cure Staffing is seeking 15 experienced Registered Nurses (RNs) for night shift travel assignments on adult Med/Surg/Tele units. The ideal candidates will deliver high-quality patient care, particularly in acute care settings, and demonstrate proficiency in trauma and telemetry.

Contract Details

Start Date: July 11, 2025
End Date: November 5, 2025
Location: Syracuse, NY 13210
Salary: $2,640 weekly (MI&L included)
Shift: 12-hour night shifts
Schedule: Every other weekend and two out of three major seasonal holidays required
Time Off: Excessive time off and set workdays will not be approved
Pre-employment: Health clearance, drug screening, and criminal background check required

Qualifications

Licensure: Current New York State RN Registration
Certifications: BLS required (and ability to recertify)
Experience: Minimum 1.5 years recent (within past 2 years) acute care experience in a similar-sized or larger facility, or a trauma center
Legal: Verification of legal right to work in the U.S.
Professional Record: No history of license suspension, investigation, or liability claims

Skills and Requirements

Clinical Skills:
Ability to start IVs and draw labs
Proficient in telemetry monitoring
Strong nursing assessment skills in acute care settings
Technical Skills:
Experience with EPIC Electronic Medical Records preferred
Interpersonal:
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
Adaptability:
Able to function with minimal orientation and supervision

Duties and Responsibilities

Provide comprehensive nursing care to adult patients in Med/Surg/Tele units
Initiate and monitor IV therapy and perform lab draws
Monitor and interpret telemetry readings
Perform thorough patient assessments and document findings accurately
Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to ensure optimal patient outcomes
Adhere to hospital policies, procedures, and safety standards
Maintain professionalism and confidentiality at all times
Work scheduled shifts, including every other weekend and major holidays as required
