Job Description
Cure Staffing is seeking skilled and adaptable Registered Nurses (RNs) for day shift positions in our Inpatient Pediatric Float Pool. This role requires floating between all pediatric inpatient units—including PICU/Peds Step Down, Pediatric Surgery, Pediatric Hematology Oncology, and Pediatric General—delivering high-quality nursing care across a variety of pediatric specialties within a Level I Pediatric Emergency Department and Accredited Burn Center.
Contract Details
- Location: Syracuse, NY 13210
- Department: Inpatient Pediatric Float Pool
- Start Date: June 6, 2025
- End Date: September 10, 2025
- Shift: Day shift, 12 hours
- Schedule: Every other weekend and 2 of 3 major holidays required
- Note: Excessive time off and set weekly schedules will not be approved
- Pay: Weekly $2,640 (MI&L included)
Qualifications
- Current and valid New York State RN license
- BLS (Basic Life Support) certification (current or able to recertify)
- Minimum 1.5 years of recent (within past 2 years) experience in an acute care facility of similar size and scope
- Experience in a Level 1 or Level 2 trauma center required
- No history of license or certification suspension/investigation
- No involvement in professional liability claims
- Legal authorization to work in the United States
- Must pass pre-employment health clearance, drug screening, and criminal background check
Skills and Requirements
- EPIC Electronic Medical Records (EMR) experience preferred
- Strong clinical assessment and patient care skills in an acute inpatient setting
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Flexibility and professionalism in adapting to varying unit needs and patient populations
- Ability to work collaboratively within multidisciplinary teams
Duties and Responsibilities
- Deliver safe, effective, and compassionate care across multiple pediatric inpatient units
- Perform comprehensive nursing assessments and provide direct patient care with minimal supervision
- Adapt quickly to the needs of different units and patient populations in real-time
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to ensure coordinated and optimal patient care
- Accurately document patient care activities in EPIC EMR
- Follow all hospital policies, procedures, and regulatory guidelines
- Maintain a positive attitude and professionalism in a fast-paced float environment
