Job Description

We are seeking an experienced Registered Nurse (RN) to join our Adult Intensive Care Unit (ICU) team for night shifts. The ideal candidate will provide high-quality patient care in a fast-paced, acute care environment, working collaboratively with an interdisciplinary team to ensure optimal patient outcomes.

Contract Details

• Start Date: 7/11
• End Date: 11/05
• Location: Syracuse, NY 13210
• Weekly Pay:  $2,720 (MIL&L included)
• Shift: Nights, 7:00 PM – 7:00 AM

• Schedule: Every other weekend required; some holidays required
• Important Note: Set schedules and extended time-off requests (more than 7 consecutive days) will not be granted.
• Pre-employment Requirements: Health clearance, drug screening, and criminal background checks must be successfully completed.

Qualifications

• Current New York State RN License and Registration
• Certified in Basic Life Support (BLS); must be able to obtain recertification if needed
• Minimum 1.5 years of recent (within the past 2 years) acute care experience in a facility of similar size and level
• Experience in Level 1 or Level 2 Trauma Centers required
• Legal authorization to work in the United States
• No history of professional license or certification suspension, investigation, or involvement in professional liability claims

Skills and Requirements

• Experience with EPIC Electronic Medical Records preferred
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
• Strong clinical judgment and critical thinking abilities
• Ability to adapt quickly and function independently with minimal orientation
• Travelers must have experience in hospitals of equal or greater size or trauma designation

Duties and Responsibilities

• Deliver high-quality patient care in the Adult ICU
• Perform comprehensive nursing assessments and implement appropriate interventions
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary healthcare teams to promote optimal patient outcomes
• Demonstrate strong clinical judgment and critical thinking in a fast-paced environment
• Maintain accurate and timely documentation using electronic medical records
