Job Description

Cure Staffing is seeking experienced Surgical/Operating Room Technologists for an Adult Operating Room team. Join a dynamic, high-acuity environment at a Level 1 Trauma Center, supporting a broad range of surgical specialties. This role is ideal for candidates with strong scrub experience who thrive in a collaborative and fast-paced setting.

Contract Details

• • • Location: Syracuse, NY 13215
    • Start Date: June 27, 2025
    • End Date: October 8, 2025
    • Shift: Days/Evenings (straight 8-hour shifts or a combination of 8- and 12-hour shifts)
    • Schedule: 80 hours biweekly
    • Unit: Adult Operating Room (with exposure to a wide range of surgical specialties)
    • Pay: $2,160.00 Paid weekly via direct deposit (MI&L included)

Qualifications

• • • Graduate of an accredited Surgical Technology program
    • Current certification as a Surgical Technologist (CST) preferred
    • Previous experience in a high-acuity OR setting, preferably in a Level 1 Trauma Center
    • BLS certification required

Skills and Requirements

• • • Extensive scrub experience in general and specialty surgeries (orthopedic, general, ENT, vascular, GYN, neurosurgery, bariatric, trauma, GU)
    • Strong knowledge of aseptic and sterile techniques
    • Ability to work independently with minimal supervision
    • Excellent communication and teamwork skills
    • Attention to detail and commitment to patient safety
    • Familiarity with electronic documentation systems is a plus

Duties and Responsibilities

• • • Prepare operating rooms and surgical equipment for procedures
    • Scrub in and assist during a variety of surgical cases
    • Maintain a sterile field and adhere to strict aseptic techniques
    • Pass instruments, sponges, and sutures to surgeons and assistants
    • Ensure proper handling and accountability of surgical instruments and supplies
    • Collaborate with RNs, surgeons, anesthesiologists, and other OR staff
    • Participate in room turnover, equipment sterilization, and postoperative procedures
    • Maintain accurate and timely documentation in accordance with hospital policies
