## Speech Language Pathologist ## 

Location:  Syracuse, NY 

Salary: $52.00 / hr 

We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Speech Language Pathologist to join our healthcare team at a leading hospital in Syracuse, NY. The ideal candidate will provide comprehensive assessments and treatment for patients with speech, language, cognitive, and swallowing disorders.

 Qualifications

– Master’s Degree in Speech Pathology

– NYS licensure and clinical certification in Speech Pathology (or its equivalent)

– Completion of clinical fellowship year required

– Must successfully pass pre-employment health clearance

 Key Responsibilities

– Administer evaluations to diagnose speech, language, cognition, communication, and swallowing disorders

– Establish and provide individualized treatment programs for patients with deficits in speech, language, cognitive function, voice, and/or swallowing

– Schedule patients for evaluations and treatments based on their specific needs

– Provide education to patients, families, and staff regarding disorders of speech, language, cognition, voice, and swallowing

– Participate in program development for the speech therapy discipline within the PM&R department and service line

– Prepare reports and communicate findings with referral sources and treatment agencies

– Engage in community programs to promote awareness and education regarding speech-language pathology

 Required Skills

– Strong assessment and diagnostic skills related to speech and language disorders

– Excellent interpersonal and communication skills for effective interaction with patients and families

– Ability to work collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team environment

– Proficiency in developing individualized treatment plans based on patient assessments
