##  Sonographer – Ultrasound/Vascular Technologist  ## 

Location: Syracuse, NY 

Salary: $65.00 / hr 

We are seeking a skilled and dedicated Sonographer specializing in Ultrasound and Vascular technology to join our healthcare team at a leading hospital in Syracuse, NY. The ideal candidate will be responsible for performing high-quality diagnostic examinations and communicating results to the appropriate medical staff.

 Qualifications

– Graduate of an ultrasound program accredited by the Council for Higher Education Accreditation (CHEA) or the United States Department of Education (USDOE)

– RDMS certification in Abdominal and OB/Gyn required

– Minimum of one year experience in a clinical setting as a sonographer

– Must successfully pass pre-employment health clearance

 Key Responsibilities

– Independently operate sonographic equipment to perform diagnostic examinations as ordered by physicians

– Conduct ultrasound examinations, including vascular studies, ensuring adherence to established protocols and standards

– Obtain and document appropriate medical history from patients prior to examinations

– Communicate findings effectively to radiologists and other healthcare professionals

– Use independent judgment during examinations to accurately differentiate between normal and pathological findings

– Manage daily operations of the sonographic laboratory, including patient scheduling, equipment maintenance, and quality assurance

– Ensure proper sterilization and maintenance of ultrasound equipment and examination areas

– Prepare comprehensive reports summarizing examination results for physician review

 Required Skills

– Strong knowledge of ultrasound technology and vascular anatomy

– Excellent communication skills for interacting with patients and healthcare team members

– Ability to work independently while demonstrating sound clinical judgment

– Attention to detail in performing examinations and documenting findings
