Cure Staffing, Inc. is seeking a Registered Nurse for a long-term temporary assignment for the NFHV program. 

The NFHV (New Family Home Visits) supports the citywide health equity goal by identifying maternal health needs during pregnancy or soon after childbirth, preparing families for delivery and a new baby, and connecting families to needed services essential to the well-being of mothers, children and families.

NFHV Home Visiting Nurses provide home visiting to all families wth newborns. The goal is to support and assess family physical and psychosocial well-being and facilitate referrals and connections to community agencies to support families in these areas. The Home Visiting Nurses will work in a team environment of clinical and non-clinical staff in order to schedule, visit and support families in the community using the evidence-based home visiting protocol. 

The Registered Nurses are expected to perform home visits to all families with newborns. The goal is to support and assess family physical and psychosocial well-being and facilitate referrals and connections to community agencies to support families in these areas. The NHVP will work in a team environment of clinical and non-clinical staff in order to schedule, visit and support families in the community using the evidence-based home visiting protocol.

Requirements:
NYS RN License
Current BLS
COVID Vaccinated
IBCLC Certification – highly preferred

The Registered Nurse must be able to access postpartum needs and distress indicators and assess chronic disease needs. Help families adjust to antenatal and birthing experience. Be able to help with pain assessment, newborn care, and infant communication.

You will be working cooperatively with NHVP families by conducting home visits and clinical support during home visits. Support client assessment and referral for appropriate mental health services. Work in a Multidisciplinary team environment to assist families in making and attending appointments for doctors and social service agencies. Act as a liaison between families and community agencies serving as a family advocate. Provide a health assessment of mother and baby in the home to determine well-being. Maintain client confidentiality. Enter nurse notes in the database system to document services and encounters between nurses and program clients served. 

Headquarter location is in Brooklyn. The nurse will be expected to travel.
MetroCard reimbursement provided.

Hours:
Monday through Friday 9 am to 5 pm (35 hours)
