Registered Nurse (New Family Home Visiting)

Cure Staffing, Inc. is working with one of the City’s largest Health Agencies. We are seeking qualified temporary medical support staff candidates who will provide reliable, professional, and appropriately skilled medical support in all temporary work assignments. All candidates must have education, experience, licenses, and certifications that are applicable and appropriate to the level of this position.

Job Description:

NFHV Home Visiting Nurses provide home visiting to all families with newborns. The goal is to support and assess family physical and psychosocial well-being and facilitate referrals and connections to community agencies to support families in these areas. The Home Visiting Nurses will work in a team environment of clinical and non- clinical staff in order to schedule, visit, and support families in the community using the evidence-based home visiting protocol.

To work cooperatively with NHVP families by conducting home visits and clinical support during home visits. Support client assessment and referral for appropriate mental health services. Work in a Multidisciplinary team environment to assist families in making and attending appointments for doctors and social service agencies. Act a Liaison between families and community agencies serving as a family advocate. Provide a health assessment of mother and baby in the home to determine well-being. Maintain client confidentiality. Enter nurse notes in database system to document services and encounters between nurses and program clients served.

Required Skills/ Experience:

1-2 years of Labor & Delivery, NICU or Maternal Child Health

Preferred Skills:

To be able to access postpartum needs and distress indicators.
Assess Chronic disease needs. Help families adjust to the ante natal and birthing experience.
Be able to help with pain assessment, newborn care and infant communication. Preferred skills include IBCLC Certification, but not necessary.

Hours:

Monday through Friday 9:00am to 5:00pm
