## Radiologic Technologist – Interventional ##

Location: Syracuse, NY 

Salary: $77.00 / hr 

We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Radiologic Technologist specializing in Interventional Radiology to join our healthcare team at a leading hospital in Syracuse, NY. The ideal candidate will be responsible for performing advanced radiographic examinations and assisting in interventional procedures under the guidance of departmental radiologists.

 Qualifications

– A.A.S. in Radiologic Technology or equivalent

– NYS license/registration required

– Minimum of one year experience as an Interventional Radiologic Technologist

– Must successfully pass pre-employment health clearance

 Key Responsibilities

– Perform radiographic examinations under the direction of departmental radiologists, ensuring adherence to established protocols and safety standards

– Greet patients, explain the procedures they will undergo, and position them appropriately for imaging

– Set proper exposure factors to obtain high-quality images while ensuring patient safety and minimizing radiation exposure

– Operate and maintain various imaging equipment, including fluoroscopy systems and C-arms, efficiently and effectively

– Assist in interventional procedures by preparing the procedure room, setting up equipment, and ensuring all necessary supplies are available

– Process images and input information into the Radiology Information System for documentation and billing purposes

– Monitor patients during procedures, providing reassurance and support while documenting vital signs and any adverse reactions

– Report any equipment malfunctions to the immediate supervisor and assist with troubleshooting as needed

– Maintain compliance with departmental policies and procedures as outlined in the Policy and Procedure Manual

– Collaborate with healthcare professionals to provide comprehensive patient care based on referring physician needs

 Required Skills

– Strong knowledge of anatomy, physiology, and medical terminology related to interventional radiology procedures

– Excellent communication and interpersonal skills for effective patient interaction

– Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment while maintaining high standards of patient care

– Attention to detail in documenting patient information and imaging results
