## Radiologic Technologist – Diagnostic ##

Location: Syracuse, NY 

Salary: $68.00 / hr 

We are seeking a skilled and dedicated Radiologic Technologist specializing in diagnostic imaging to join our healthcare team at a leading hospital in Syracuse, NY. The ideal candidate will perform high-quality radiographic examinations to assist in the diagnosis and treatment of patients.

 Qualifications

– A.A.S. in Radiologic Technology or equivalent

– NYS license/registration required

– Minimum of one year experience as a radiologic technologist

– Must successfully pass pre-employment health clearance

 Key Responsibilities

– Perform radiographic examinations under the direction of departmental radiologists, ensuring adherence to established protocols and procedures

– Greet patients, explain the examination process, and position them appropriately for imaging

– Set proper exposure factors to obtain high-quality radiographs while practicing appropriate radiation safety and protection measures

– Operate various imaging equipment efficiently, including X-ray machines, ensuring optimal performance and reporting any malfunctions to the immediate supervisor

– Process films and input information into the Radiology Information System for documentation and billing purposes

– Maintain compliance with departmental policies and procedures as outlined in the Policy and Procedure Manual

– Collaborate with healthcare professionals to provide comprehensive patient care based on referring physician needs

– Ensure a clean and safe environment for patients during imaging procedures

 Required Skills

– Strong knowledge of anatomy, physiology, and medical terminology related to diagnostic imaging procedures

– Excellent communication and interpersonal skills for effective patient interaction

– Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment while maintaining high standards of patient care

– Attention to detail in documenting patient information and imaging results
