** Physical Therapist Assistant (PTA) ** 

Location: Syracuse, NY 

Salary: $33.00 / hr 

We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Physical Therapist Assistant (PTA) to join our healthcare team at a leading hospital in Syracuse, NY. The ideal candidate will work under the supervision of licensed physical therapists to provide essential therapeutic services that help patients improve their mobility and overall physical function.

 Qualifications

– Associate degree in Physical Therapist Assistant

– NYS license or eligibility for licensure

– Minimum of 2 years of clinical experience required

– Must successfully pass pre-employment health clearance

 Key Responsibilities

– Assist physical therapists in evaluating and implementing treatment plans for patients

– Provide direct patient care by administering therapeutic exercises and interventions as directed by the physical therapist

– Prepare and maintain accurate documentation of patient progress and treatment outcomes in a timely manner

– Attend designated clinics, rounds, and conferences to provide updates on patient information and care plans

– Participate in educational programs for staff members, students, volunteers, and other healthcare professionals

– Assist in maintaining a clean and safe environment for patients during therapy sessions

– Collaborate with the healthcare team to ensure comprehensive patient care

 Required Skills

– Strong knowledge of physical therapy principles and practices

– Excellent communication and interpersonal skills for effective patient interaction

– Ability to work effectively as part of a multidisciplinary team

– Proficiency in documenting patient care and progress accurately

– Compassionate approach to patient care with a focus on improving quality of life
