Job Description

Cure Staffing is seeking a dedicated Phlebotomist to support health-related service delivery and infectious disease prevention activities, specifically targeting communities at high risk for tuberculosis (TB) in New York City. The Phlebotomist will play a vital role in TB testing events held in community and congregate settings, work sites, and individual homes.

Contract Details

Position Title: Phlebotomist
Position Duration: Temporary
Schedule: Monday to Friday, 9:00 AM – 5:00 PM (35 hours/week, one hour unpaid lunch)
Work Location: LIC, NY 11101 and Various sites across NYC as needed
Hourly Wage: $30/hr paid weekly via direct deposit
Medical Clearance: Required
Fit Testing: Required

Qualifications

Certification in phlebotomy
Experience providing phlebotomy services to both toddlers/children and adults
Experience working with the public

Skills and Requirements

Ability to provide phlebotomy services with proper documentation and adherence to protocols
Flexibility, patience, and respectfulness in all interactions
Willingness and ability to travel throughout NYC for events
Availability to work routine office hours (Monday–Friday, 9 AM–5 PM)
High level of professionalism and confidentiality
Strong customer service skills
Comfortable working in teams and engaging with diverse communities
Preferred: Familiarity with electronic medical records and/or experience in health or social service fields

Duties and Responsibilities

Provide phlebotomy services at TB testing events, ensuring proper processes for obtaining and documenting blood samples
Support the care delivery team by communicating blood test results to individuals
Maintain strict confidentiality and professionalism at all times
Participate in required trainings and ongoing professional development
Assist with follow-up for individuals requiring their test results
Attend and support TB testing events at community locations, work sites, and individual homes
Engage in targeted outreach and testing initiatives to reach high-risk populations
