** Pharmacist **

Location: Syracuse, NY

Salary: $83.00 / hr

We are seeking a skilled and experienced Pharmacist to join our healthcare team at a leading hospital in Syracuse, NY. The ideal candidate will provide comprehensive pharmaceutical services to ensure safe and effective medication management for our patients.

 Qualifications

– B.S. in Pharmacy or PharmD.

– NYS pharmacy license

– Previous hospital pharmacy experience desirable

– Excellent interpersonal and communication skills

– Must successfully pass pre-employment health clearance

 Key Responsibilities

– Interpret medication orders and prescriptions to ensure completeness, safety, rationality, and compatibility with institutional policies

– Prepare compounds and dispense medications for inpatient and ambulatory care use, including injectable sterile products

– Perform duties in all areas of pharmacy, including inpatient, ambulatory care, and satellites

– Provide information to healthcare practitioners to promote rational use of medications

– Offer drug monitoring services

– Maintain pharmacy records in accordance with legal and institutional policies

– Interpret policies and procedures for hospital staff

– Participate in teaching programs for hospital staff

– Contribute to Pharmacy Department’s Quality Assurance Programs

– Perform majority of patient care functions needed in the acute care setting with minimal orientation and supervision

 Required Skills

– Proficiency in sterile compounding techniques

– Strong knowledge of pharmacology and drug interactions

– Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced hospital environment

– Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills

– Commitment to patient safety and quality care
