** Nurse Practitioner **

Location: Syracuse, NY

Salary: $85.00 / hr

We are seeking an experienced and skilled Nurse Practitioner to join our healthcare team at a leading hospital in Syracuse, NY. The ideal candidate will provide comprehensive patient care in collaboration with attending physicians in an acute care setting.

 Qualifications

– Minimum of one (1) year experience as a Nurse Practitioner

– Prior experience in an inpatient setting strongly preferred

– NYS licensed/registered NP (NYS NP specialty area of certification must be consistent with practice) or NYS licensed/registered or NCCPA certified or eligible Physician Assistant

– Possession of Medicare NPI# or eligibility to apply for same

– Current CPR and ACLS certification

– Excellent interpersonal and communication skills

– Must successfully pass pre-employment health clearance

 Key Responsibilities

– Collaborate with attending physicians to provide comprehensive health assessments and develop patient care plans

– Document in medical records, recording subjective and objective data, assessments, and plans in a consistent, legible, accurate, concise, and timely manner

– Provide patient and family education

– Utilize prescriptive authority in collaboration with attending physicians

– Perform majority of patient care functions needed in the acute care setting with minimal orientation and supervision

– Conduct physical examinations, order and interpret diagnostic tests, and prescribe medications and treatments

– Monitor patient progress and adjust treatment plans as necessary

– Participate in multidisciplinary team meetings to ensure coordinated patient care

 Required Skills

– Strong clinical decision-making and problem-solving abilities

– Proficiency in electronic medical record systems

– Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, high-stress environment

– Excellent time management and organizational skills

– Commitment to patient-centered care and evidence-based practice
