Job Description:
Cure Staffing, Inc. is seeking Mental Health Therapy Aides to join our Pediatric Biobehavioral Unit in an acute inpatient setting. This role involves providing both direct and indirect patient care, requiring psychiatric experience, with pediatric experience preferred.

Contract Details:
– Start Date: 4/25
– End Date: 7/30
– Location: Syracuse, NY 13210

– Shift: Combination of 8-hour and 12-hour shifts
– Schedule Requirements: Every other weekend & some holidays
– Pay: $28/hr

Qualifications:
– Certification: Current CPR Certification
– Experience: Minimum 1 year of psychiatric experience required; 2 years preferred. Pediatric and inpatient setting experience preferred.

Skills:
– Proficiency in Electronic Medical Records (EMR)
– Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
– Strong ability to interact effectively with patients, families, and healthcare team members

Key Responsibilities:
– Perform essential patient care functions with minimal supervision, including:
– Taking and recording vital signs
– Completing patient admission documentation
– Assisting with physical examinations and specimen collection
– Monitoring and documenting patient intake/output
– Assist patients with hygiene and daily living needs (ADLs).
– Transport patients and orient new patients to unit regulations.
– Notify nursing staff of patient data in a timely and accurate manner.
– Develop therapeutic relationships under nursing supervision.
– Interact therapeutically with patients during activities.
– Provide crisis intervention and ensure patient safety.
– Apply age-appropriate clinical and psychological interventions.
– Conduct safety checks during assigned shifts.
– Observe and report patient responses to treatments.
– Participate in nursing unit management activities.
