** EEG Technician **

Location: Syracuse, NY

Salary: $58.00 / hr

We are seeking a skilled and experienced EEG Technician to join our neurology team at a leading hospital in Syracuse, NY. The ideal candidate will perform electroencephalogram (EEG) tests and provide critical support in diagnosing neurological conditions.

 Qualifications

– Registered EEG Technologist (R. EEG T.) certification

– One year of EEG experience

– BLS/CPR certification

– Advanced computer, communication, and critical thinking skills

– Must successfully pass pre-employment health clearance

 Key Responsibilities

– Perform routine EEGs in accordance with established ASET guidelines on patients ranging from neonatal to geriatric in outpatient and inpatient settings

– Enter raw data and prepare it for physician review

– Measure and apply electrodes for adult and pediatric patients

– Conduct descriptive analysis of EEG waveforms and patterns observed

– Provide appropriate patient and family interaction

– Edit 24-hour EEG data

– Maintain equipment, stock acquisition stations, report malfunctions, and record in equipment log book

– Follow existing hospital and department policies and procedures

 Required Skills

– Proficiency in operating EEG equipment and related technologies

– Strong attention to detail and accuracy in data collection and analysis

– Excellent interpersonal skills for patient interaction and teamwork

– Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced medical environment

– Knowledge of neuroanatomy, neurophysiology, and EEG patterns
