Job Description:

We are seeking a skilled Echocardiograph Technician (Echo Tech) to join the cardiac imaging team at Hospital in Syracuse, NY. The Echo Tech will perform a variety of high-quality diagnostic cardiac ultrasound procedures in both inpatient and outpatient settings, supporting our commitment to outstanding patient care and professional growth.

Contract Details:

Start Date: 6/30
End Date: 10/04
Location: Syracuse, NY 13210
Weekly Pay: $2,680 (MI&L included)

Qualifications:

Required:

• Experience performing cardiac ultrasound procedures.

• Current registration as RDCS (Registered Diagnostic Cardiac Sonographer) through ARDMS, or RCS (Registered Cardiac Sonographer) through CCI, or eligibility for registration.

• CPR-BLS certification.

• Candidates with cardiac ultrasound experience who are not currently registered but are eligible will be considered at a commensurate salary and must obtain certification within one year of hire.

Preferred:

• Associate’s degree in a related health field.

Key Responsibilities:

• Perform a range of cardiac ultrasound studies, including:

  • 2-D and 3-D echocardiograms

  • Transesophageal echocardiography (TEE)

  • Exercise and pharmacologic stress echocardiograms

  • Intra-procedural echo support in the Heart and Vascular Center

• Accurately capture and document images for physician interpretation.

• Maintain ultrasound equipment, patient records, and adhere to safety and infection control protocols.

• Participate in ongoing quality improvement initiatives and training opportunities.

• Collaborate with cardiologists, nurses, and other healthcare professionals to ensure excellent patient care.

Additional Details:

• Shift: 7:00 AM – 4:00 PM

• Schedule: Day shift with rotating weekends and holidays

• No on-call responsibilities

• Work setting includes both inpatient and outpatient facilities
