Community Health Liaison – Tuberculosis Control

Cure Staffing Inc. is seeking dedicated Community Health Specialists to support tuberculosis (TB) prevention and control efforts among high-risk populations, including asylum seekers and refugees.

Position Overview

• Schedule: Monday – Friday, 9:00 AM – 5:00 PM (35 hours/week, 1 hour unpaid lunch)
  • Some evenings and weekends may be required
• Location: LIC IN PERSON

Key Responsibilities

• Conduct TB testing events in community and congregate settings
• Provide health education and recruit participants for TB services
• Support care coordination for individuals with positive test results
• Assist with contact investigations for infectious TB cases
• Interact with community partners, healthcare providers, and site administrators
• Collect and enter data into electronic surveillance and case management systems
• Maintain strict confidentiality and professionalism

Required Qualifications

• Fluency in French and /or Wolof
• Experience in data collection and entry
• Strong interpersonal skills and experience working with the public
• Flexibility to travel throughout NYC for events
• Ability to work weekdays and some evenings
• Patient, respectful, and culturally sensitive approach

Preferred Skills

• Familiarity with electronic medical records
• Experience in health or social service fields
• Strong customer service skills
• Comfort working in teams and with diverse communities
