CHL – Surveillance

Position Details

Schedule: Monday to Friday, 35 hours per week (9:00 AM – 5:00 PM, with one hour unpaid lunch)

Location: Queens, NY 11101
Pay Rate: $32/hr paid weekly via direct deposit on Tuesdays

Job Description

Cure Staffing inc. is seeking a temporary Community Health Liaison to support the Surveillance Unit. This role is crucial in addressing the increasing TB case rates and ensuring high-risk individuals are connected to care and treatment in a timely manner.

Key Responsibilities

• Process incoming reports of TB patients and discharge requests
• Follow up with providers to gather necessary information
• Perform data entry tasks related to TB surveillance
• Assist with administrative tasks as assigned
• Support public health actions to connect high-risk individuals to care and treatment

Required Skills and Experience

• Strong oral and written communication skills
• Highly organized with the ability to multitask effectively
• Capability to synthesize complex information
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team
• Experience working with medical/health information
• Strong computer skills, including proficiency with MS Office

Preferred Skills

• Experience in Public Health (a plus, but not required)
• Experience working with data
• Detail-oriented approach to work
• Ability to maintain patient confidentiality and data security
• Effective communication with bureau members and outside providers
• Capacity to retain and adhere to protocols
