** Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) **

Location: Syracuse, NY

Salary: $31.00 / hr

We are seeking a compassionate and skilled Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) to join our healthcare team at a leading hospital in Syracuse, NY. The ideal candidate will provide essential patient care and support to our nursing staff, contributing to a positive and healing environment for our patients.

 Qualifications

– Current New York State CNA certification

– Ability to be certified/re-certified in CPR

– One year of patient care experience

– Successful completion of pre-employment health clearance

 Key Responsibilities

– Perform direct and indirect nursing care activities, including assisting with simple procedures, initiating CPR, and supporting the admitting, transfer, and discharge processes

– Demonstrate knowledge of normal growth and development

– Respond to changing patient needs and work collaboratively with all members of the healthcare team

– Participate in team spirit and unit morale concerns, acting as a preceptor for new CNAs when required

– Maintain a safe work environment and participate in quality improvement initiatives

– Communicate effectively with members of the healthcare team and maintain positive public relations

– Obtain, record, exchange, and convey patient information accurately

– Take an active role in personal and professional development

– Make decisions based on ethical principles

 Required Skills

– Proficiency in basic patient care techniques and procedures

 Additional Information

– Must be able to perform physical tasks such as lifting, transferring, and positioning patients

– May be required to work various shifts, including nights, weekends, and holidays
