** Anesthesia Technologist  **

Location: Syracuse, NY

Salary: $36.00 / hr

 Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled and experienced Anesthesia Technologist to join our team at a leading hospital in Syracuse, NY. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in supporting anesthesia procedures and maintaining equipment in various hospital settings.

 Qualifications

– Graduate of an approved accreditation program in Anesthesia Technology

– National ASATT certification as an Anesthesia Technologist

– Current CPR/BLS certification required before starting work

– Preference given to candidates with three years of work experience

– Proficiency in reprocessing methods, aseptic and sterile techniques

– Experience in setting up and assisting with sterile trays

– Experience working in a Level 1 trauma center preferred

– Must successfully pass pre-employment health clearance

 Key Responsibilities

– Work in all locations where general anesthesia is provided

– Perform room turnovers and prepare rooms for various cases, including invasive procedures

– Troubleshoot different makes and models of anesthesia machines

– Assist with invasive procedures, including arterial line placement, central venous catheter (CVC) placement, and thermo dilution catheter placement

– Apply knowledge of infection control practices related to anesthesiology equipment and supplies

– Order supplies and restock rooms and carts as directe

– Maintain and sterilize anesthesia equipment and supplies

– Collaborate with the anesthesia team to ensure smooth operations during procedures

 Required Skills

– Strong attention to detail and ability to work in a fast-paced environment

– Excellent communication and interpersonal skills

– Ability to work effectively as part of a multidisciplinary team

– Proficiency in operating and maintaining various anesthesia-related equipment

– Knowledge of safety protocols and emergency procedures
